I'll be sober again, usually have a snowball at New Year's (yes I am that sad - don't really like alcohol) but nothing at all this year. Might ask hubbie for a cuppa but I still have a cheese cake to make for the inlaws

It is now nearly 1 o'clock, on the first morning of 2009 and I haven't touched a drop. Youngest lad is at a party and Iv'e agreed to go and pick him up at 2 o'clock. Fortunately its only about twenty minutes away.

Me too - I love being sober when everyone else is hungover.

I had a couple of glasses of sparkly before 9pm, then took a sleeping pill and must have had a midnight snack attack, cos I woke up on top of a bar of galaxy, and an opened tube of Mars Planets.
I don't even like them.

I slept 9 hrs, but I don't feel refreshed. BUT, at least I wasn't awake and staring at the ceiling for half the night.

Greetings all - no I was sober too a shock I know, but hey-ho, gotta start somewhere!

BIL and SIL came round with their Wii, and we played Ten-pin bowling, Tennis, Skiing, stooopid balance and fitness games and had a fab time - what a brilliant invention (no I don't want one thanks).

It was good to be able to drive to the stables this morning without the usual thumping NY day head. Perhaps I'll cope 'on the waggon' - we'll see.
