I'm new to G&T, but it does give me indigestion sometimes, but only on an empty stomach.

I had a few last night, and was fine all evening, then, just before midnight, I had a glass of red that OH had opened and had heartburn/indigestion ALL night, despite taking two indigestion tablets.

I think it depends on the situation.

    No help really, was I?

Very rarely it's not the alcoholic content but the acidity I also over did the Calvados once, never again.
I am a beer drinker and only hit the Laphroaig at Christmas time.

It was a freebie & had not tried before it was a few years ago!
Raki is good if you add a soft fruit to it & leave for about six months.
