Mine's derived from the olde English of Wagn - or wagon. A la Hay Wain/HeyWayne.
My last name is derived from the blade of a plough I believe.
I'm from farming stock it would seem.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/
BLOG UPDATED! http://haywayne.blogspot.com/2012/01...ar-demand.html 30/01/2012
Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.
What would Vedder do?

Well, I've learnt something today - I have never found my name in a baby book or anything before, but just found out what it means
SHERIDAN
Gender: Female (although as it's one of them there unisex names, folk quite often expect me to be male )
Origin: Irish (I discovered last year that I have Irish blood in me, so that's quite apt)
Meaning: wild! (So that allows me to do all sorts in 2009 now...)Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.

Susan from the Hebrew meaning a lily. My maiden name is an old English word for bull so when I was at school one of my friends used to call me Lily Bull when she wanted to annoy me!
All the Susans I know are women of 'a certain age' - it's a name that is very much of its time.
