I read somewhere that the level of hangover is a result of the number of pees you have to do whilst drinking. Well it sort of makes sense, a hangover is a result of extreme dehydration, and if you drink something like beer which can fill your bladder up quicker than a glass of wine or a short it stands to reason you will need to pee more = worse hangover.

I suppose the answer then is to re-hydrate as quickly as possible which could be a sports drink, lucozade or something similar.

      I don't have a hangover today, i was a good girl

When younger and in the habit of clubbing all weekend (before offspring) I could not sleep until I had a cuppa and a fry up. As my Dad would usually get home from whatever lock in he had been at, roughly the same time I rolled home, we would stagger drunkenly round the kitchen about 3am, cooking ourselves a fry up before retiring to sleep it off. How we never killed ourselves, I'll never know!!
Now I tend to drink a pint of water before bed, and have one by the bed for if I wake up dry in the night. Can't tolerate much/don't like being drunk now, so just don't have a lot anymore. Also begrudge taxi costs, so often drive.

he he , well i never said i didn't have a weird sense of humour, truth is, i admire people that dont smoke, i do not think drinking is a bad thing in moderation ( you can't smoke in moderation), as a species we have been drinking for thousands of years, do NOT try to make me feel bad about it

'morality' is a far more recent concept, but we will save that argument for another time

bless you for your constraint, seriously, its nice to know i wasn't the norm.

cos i started at 5 ( it was so cute to feed the baby irish stout) progressed to sipping cocktails at 7

all downhill from there, i didn't drink a lot in my twenties, i DRANK!!!, 20 years on, i still drink, a lot, but i am not controlled by it, its a daily battle between me, and it, we have reached a consensus where i don't fall over and it doesn't kill me..............yet.

I am sure there are going to be people on here that think that is .sad/pathetic/stupid/expensive/laudable

news flash in the nicest way..........you just got a glimpse of me, don't waste it, the truth is very rare

You're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on.
