  • Royal Canin Prescription Food

    Hi Guys

Do any of you use Royal Canin Prescription Pet Food? If so do you order it cheaply anywhere on line.

My cat has come home after 3 days in the vets with chronic urinary infection, xrays and urine tests and we have been told she needs this specific prescription food, over £30 a bag!!!!!

OMG I cried not just for the pain she is in and the fact she gets it every 3-4 weeks, but my god the price of this food?

If you do know of anywhere to get it from please let me know.

    Thanks

hum, not sure about the one you need - but when my cat needed diabetic (RC) food, I was told it could only be bought from a vet

      Has the vet recommended it?
I remember when Puss had a blocked bladder due to urine crystals, that he had to have the prescription meat diet for a couple of weeks, and just never to feed him biscuits as they can aggravate the problem.
Luckily for us, it was a one off, it sounds as though yours is more long term (and a different complaint), and if he has to be on this grub forever it is going to cost a fortune!

Just googled and found these: http://www.bestpetpharmacy.co.uk/sea...Vet_Early_Care
      any good?

Royal Canin Veterinary Clinical Urinary Cat LP 34 - CATS_Veterinary Clinical pet healthcare

Is this the stuff? They do the pouches too.
I've bought flea & worming stuff from these before and had no problems.

Which particular one does your cat need? Have you tried Pet Planet?
Buy Royal Canin Feline or Pet Supermarket
          Pet Supplies from Pet-Supermarket
I have to say when we had a similar problem with our dog, we ended up feeding him boiled chicken and rice - but I guess you're trying to deal with a UTI, are you?

OH's cat had kidney failure, and had to go on this diet, after a couple of months the cat was back to normal, and he went onto iams older cat stuff ..... still expensive, but cheaper than the vet stuff, mind you we can get it a lot cheaper in B&M bargains, when they have it in, so it's much cheaper overall, and the cat is now fine
