good, i didn't mean it in a bad way, just that if you lose your temper, then that's what they will come out with ....... lets face it, the chance is they hope you'll just go away quietly, so they don't have to give you a plot at all ........... that's not going to happen, but we gotta do it the right way, and give them absolutely no excuses for not giving you a plot

All the best for tomorrow mate, but as the others have said STAY CALM whatever the provovation. Have some rescue remedy before you go and dont give them the chance to have a go at you for losing your cool. I still have copies of the email from the council saying they will give you a plot, pm me if you need me to send it to you

Tricky - heres what to do .
First thing tomorrow get down the council ,ask for the allotment officer. Tell him your there to pick your plot . When he looks at you as if you have two heads show him the letter that says you are at the top of the list and then show him the newspaper article . Tell him you are there to get your plot so that the next person on the list can then get their plot.
Of course it would be better if the newspaper was there as well recording the whole thing for a piece for the evening paper.

I would phone up Neighbourhood Services (or get Lynda to do it) and ask for a plot (use a different name). Just to see what they say.

Say you thought there was already a 100+ waiting list.

Perhaps they are making more ground available for a new site?

keep calm, talk to the reporter yourself, get YOUR name in the paper, they will have to question council about it. Get other plotholders supporting you, statements etc.......

Getting yourself arrested is not a good idea.

Why on earth would they advertise allotments in the paper, and then say there's a year long waiting list?!

REMEMBER,-------THEY ARE IDIOTS,doe's 1 department realy know what the other is doing,and have the so called inspectors been down the lotties and had a look recently, to confirm any vacant plots,or not,

When i rang up they asked me what plot no ive got
They are in a meeting at the moment.
This council is full of lies to cover up their own mistakes
