Last year we painted all the woodwork a lovely chocolate brown, with pale walls, new carpet and it looked nice for a little while.
The cat has clawed the bannisters while trying to climb them (she's a bit strange in the head) and chipped off paint, someone has picked slivers of paint off the windowsill, and there is dirty handmarks all down the walls as it seems my family have no ability to keep their balance or hold the bannister rail
The carpet would benefit from a professional clean
I'm fed up of waiting for him to start, so as he works nights and I work part time, I'm going to spend my days off getting on with stuff and he will just get up one day and notice it has been done! And if he moans I'll bop him over the head with my wooden rolling pin.
