Has anyone come up with ideas for dates for the Wisley one yet? We are taking our Japanese student to see the butterflies RHS Wisley - Butterflies in the Glasshouse
but as someone said, it might be a bit cold for a picnic yet, and the cafe prices are exorbitant for what you get. The pub (The Anchor) by Pyrford lock is nice and the food is good, around £10 for a meal though, so not cheap. It's very popular, I don't know if they take bookings.
If just OH and I go, we use the pub, if we take the kids, we eat a picnic in the car

If the people who want to go to Wisley PM me with dates they would be available, I don't mind trying to sort that one out. Also if anyone wants to go, but hasn't transport, it might be possible to get car sharing sorted out too. I would think if someone (volunteers needed?) takes responsibility for organising each one, then something might happen.

I'm happy to drive, but need to wait until I've got some dosh for Diesel - Landies aren't cheap to run, unfortunately. OH runs his on chip oil, but there's only two seats in that! Weather should be better next week, so I can get out and get my hands dirty! All the best - Glutton 4 Punishment

Tell me about itBut then we do love our Landys so forgive them, although I think Denzel would have a breakdown if I tried him with chip oil
