On the plus side, he has finished doing the washing, so there should be no excuse for not looking properly tomorrow...
Or, he's going out for 'a swift half' in 10 minutes, so I could just have a proper(ish) look myself, without him interfering

Have the Christmas decorations been put away in the loft or in the bottom of a wardrobe? Just had a flash of inspiration as if it was my house (if you understand what I mean!)

Haven't had the heart really to post on here today. Jez has spent most of the day cleaning the nooks and cranniesof the kitchen. It seems a bit much to complain, when he's doing a good job of being 'house-husband'.
We did have a conversation about it, he reckons it's frustrating him too... but then he wandered out of the kitchen, looked in the cupboard under the stairs, came back shaking his head, and started cleaning the cupboard doors...
D'you know what? I don't give a sh*t if the cupboard doors need cleaning! I want my effin seed box!!!!!

Not prepared to give it up as totally gone yet, not until I think it's been properly looked for. In fact as soon as he takes himself off out again, I'm goiing to look myself!

Yeah, mine does that distraction thing too, to get out of doing what he's meant to be doing. You can't complain, because then he won't clean at all

So, it's a big box overflowing with seed packets. You'd see it if it was at eye level, so perhaps he's put it up high? On top of .... cupboards, wardrobe, garage shelves?

                        • Don't worry it will turn up when you're not looking for it.

Yes, but Sarah wants it NOW, not when the seeds are all out of date and the sowing/planting dates have passed.

Come on everybody, hold hands and concentrate like they do in books and films "Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"

                            • I think there's 3 places it could be; the porch, the garage or the passage from the side door. All of them are 'dumping grounds', and so the box could be in any of them with other stuff dumped on top. Everywhere else, I can have a good look, and have done! I've looked in, and on, every cupboard, shelf, drawer, table & desk. But, looking in the other 3 places is just lethal when balancing on one leg, plus trying to keep the kittens out of it!
The porch has my potting table in it, plus a 2 shelf trolley thing. On top of those has been dumped all sorts of stuff, underneath there is room for boxes of plant pots & compost, and in front of them is fuel for the fire - logs & coal, plus empty coal bags... It could easily be lurking in there!
The garage, I can't even begin to describe There's no way we could get a car in it anyway! And my seed box could easily be in there unseen.
The side passage has become the repository for all of the big cardboard boxes from Chrimbo waiting to go to the lottie, plus the recycling bins, the potato box... Could be lurking in/under the cardboard!

The only way to find it is going to be a proper sort out, which is why he's putting it off - all 3 places are cold, you have to keep the doors shut to keep the kittens out, and it's not going to be quick!

But if he hadn't moved the seeds without askin me, we wouldn't have lost the bloomin things!!!!

While there's still places to look, there's still hope! Try and be positive and *fingers crossed, toes crossed and everything else I can think of crossed* now that the weekend is almost upon us, those 3 areas can be properly searched.
