Hahahaha, it's not that small - an old Cadbury's biscuit tin, with all the packets stood upright, and my home saved seeds in big brown paper bags on top... However with 3 kids, and all their Christmas stuff still all over the place, you could probably lose a small elephant here

Now why didn't I think of that?!

*goes to threaten small elephant with crutch...*

Seriously though, even if OH is doing a marvellous job while I'm incapacitated, I will axe murder him if he's chucked my seeds out by accident...

We have had the same problem here as well.
About two months ago my OH came in and put the sat nav down on the hall table. I was minding my grandson who is 2 and a bit. A while later i spotted him playing with same sat nav and as i was busy at the time decided to take it from him as soon as possible.
It has'nt been seen since. We have looked in every possible spot but it has just disappeared.
OH is thinking of buying another one but just knows as soon as he does the missing one will turn up.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

After my 2 sons returned to uni, I had lost the lid of my new steamer! Now both of them had mentioned how it would make a good shield for their role play games. Not accusing anyone, but .....
OH and DD have searched all the likely and unlikely places without success. Luckily I still had the old steamer in the garage. The lid doesn't quite fit, but close.

My seed box is one of the wooden bread bins, 50p at a car boot last year. I've still got the lid to that, although it attracted the same attention, it was dismissed as being too heavy Hope you find your seeds soon Sarah.

I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

just found all my qualification certificates which got lost in the move in July and which college was getting anxious about because they though I was blagging about being a teacher and needed to see my qualifications. Turned the house upside down at lease twice.
Guess where they turned up - in my portfolio that I use when I go for an interview. Doh. Seems I put them in their to be "safe" and went for the job without it 'cos it was still in a box somewhere at the time.
