I don't get a heating allowance 'till next year 'cos I was born TWO MONTHS TOO LATE, with my luck, the treasury won't have any money to pay heating allowances by next year. Oh well, first signs of a thaw today, does this mean no £25 given out?
I you'st to have a handle on the world .. but it BROKE!!
my friend is 73 years old and his wife 59 years old, they dont get full heating allowance and when they have made enquiries into this allowance for cold spells, they were told it has to remain a certain temp for 5 days b4 it is paid!!!
I thought the temp had to be low for 7 days, on gmtv this morning they were asking how is it paid as usual no straight forward answer, it can be cold for 6 days and warm up on the 7th and no payments from what i understood, the temp can drop again the next day ( 8th ) but it has to be for 7 days on the trot.
Congratulations bubblewrap my bil got his last november
