Oh thank you all - you're all so lovely!
Had most of the family round for a big dinner - sadly daughter, son-in-law and the littleies have the flu thing and couldn't come.
I did it on a Scottish theme - last year was Japanese!
Started with a pate made with Arbroath hot-smoked salmon, wrapped in thin-sliced salmon with a salad.
Main course, Scottish venison, Galloway beef, haggis (and neeps) etc.
Finished with Atholl Brose - heavenly, (Not deep-fried Mars bars!)
Lots of champers - if I'm not making much sense (who said 'as usual'? that'll be why.
Chicken house ordered - delivery about 10 days I think. Got loads of chooky things for birthday - poultry spice, limestone flour, red mite powder, Apple cider vinegar etc. then. we're off!
Thanks again for all your good wishes. Couldn't ask for a better lot of 'virtual' friends.
