I am logging my "progress" on here: The Times Health Club

I just burned 17 cals on the treadmill

Going to get the granny bike out of the shed now and take the compost up to the lotty - that's gotta be another 50 cals (and I can't eat while I'm biking)

I'm grateful we don't have any bathroom scales, so I can't see how much I've gained from 5 weeks sat on my butt... I was no lightweight to begin with... I can see a WeightWatchers type regime starting in a few weeks...

I'll join you Janeyo. I've put on 4 lb since Christmas and I really could have done to be 8 lb lighter than that! I could bever really diet after Christmas till my birthday's over thoug and that won't be till after NEXT weekend - still got some frinds to catch up with and celebrate with!

If I were 12 lb lighter than I am now, I wouldn't come into the overweight category on the BMI charts.

Shall we do it? From next Monday in my case!

I hate BMI charts They don't allow for any muscle, which I used to have a fair bit of (probably lost a lot of it now). I know I'm overweight, but according to the hospital I am 'morbidly obese'... I didn't feel it!
Can't wait to get back to walking the dog though - it's good for my mental, as well as physical, health.
