Don't do as I do allotment lady, I am generally barking mad!

My wellies have split, this might curtail my garden action for a while... can never get them to fit over my rubanesque calves lol. Ormaybe I just put them on with a plastic bag inside to stop the wet!?

I a planning another session in the morning as no2 son is off to childminders. Wellies permitting.

Am off to soak my aching muscles now, have left it too long.....

And today, it's all frozen over again due to a sharp one last night. The sun is just coming on to the veg patch so maybe when I've had my tea it will be ok to start again.

      Hmmmmpf.

I will be thinking of you as you dig, I am not going to dig, just measuring up and redesigning to fit in polytunnel. My body is aching today.......

Well after a half hour stint yesterday I was all ready for a whole afternoon of it today...both kiddies being off school poorly has put a stop to that!!...starting to feel like it's never gonna happen! The thing that made me less sad about DS starting school was that I'd be able to spend days at lottie...week one snow & ice,now the thaw's occurred got kiddies at home.
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.

Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.xx

That's the law of s*d Di

Janeyo, I can never fit my calf into a wellie, they're not designed for my short legs with massive calf muscles (must come from having to stand on tip-toes all the time ). I just wear walking/hiking boots, with gaiters if it's mudddy. Better ankle support for my dicky ankles, and warmer feet too

I have done 40 mins and now need to warm feet up before I cn go back out again. (despite having 2 pairs of sicks, and thermal insoles. The ground isn't actually tat bad, as I had the forthought back in September to cover the 'new' bits with cardboard. The only trouble is that althoughthe gorund is workable under the cardboard, ther cardboard is stuck to the ground! I nearly gave nyself a hernia trying to get some off lol.

Think the men laying our path think I am a tad odd..

Now I can't find my radio either and don't want to subject them to the sound of my singing.....

Woke up to another frost this morning but I went to the lottie anyway, took me a good 20 mins trying to un freeze the shed lock lol, finally cleared up the sunflowers stalks that I had left by the shed just sawed them up into smaller bits. Raked up lots of leaves and put some into the bags I already had. Tidied up the strawberry bed and covered the runners that are in pots to keep them a bit warmer.
