Now I'm only a bloke, so I'm guessing that if I pick the second one, then you will end up with the first.

So from my stock, I've 2 shawls that may suit. If one is any use, PM me and I'll send it to you.
Thank SS - when I have found a dress I will let you know if one of those would suit - what a wonderful offer - you are all so great!

Some things have arrived today but I will wait until everythings arrived and then my friend from down the road has offered to come up and give her opinion on them all. I will post a piccy if I am successfull.

The second one looks a bit cheap and shiny to me but it can be difficult to tell on a picture. Also, think the colour is a bit yucky. I'd not wear red but that's cos it doesn't suit me, agree with the above comments, don't wear white. However, also on the same point, I wouldn't want to look like a bridesmaid either so would want to look like myself rather than blending in but maybe I've missed something said earlier.

Wore a little black dress to a wedding of a very good friend just before Christmas and some people say you shouldn't wear black to a wedding but I felt good in it and so wore it. I'll be going to a funeral on Monday and most certainly won't wear black as the person in question didn't want a dull affair. Basically, it doesn't matter what other people think (some will be critical of anything), what you wear doesn't hurt anybody so just wear something you feel comfortable in and like.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

To answer the original question; No. I wouldn't wear red to a wedding.

But then I don't wear red at all! Apart from half my left index finger that I nearly sliced the top off this afternoon whilst chopping Parsnips to make soup.

I like both dresses, I think the first one hangs better, but the second one looks more wedding-like. But I don't wear dresses either.

No help at all really, am I lol.

In (I Think) China, red is the normal colour for weddings, white is for funerals. The only rule is (as so many have said) 'NOT WHITE'. Only the bride should wear white (white-and-something is fine). If you like red, wear red. I wore a darkish red trouser-suit to my daughter's wedding (I don't 'do' skirts often, the only good one I possess is black velvet).
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Went to a wedding on 3rd of this month. Wore lime green top and jacket over black trousers. My friend wore a tourquoise trousers, top and jacket. About three quarters of the guests wore trousers with the rest in dresses.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
