was just watching his wife on sky news, she was very emotional, very proud and the mayor of new york is honouring all involved in the rescue........ahhhhhh

From the news bulletin I saw, they said that is kind of emergency landing, on water isn't practiced on the simulators when they do the trainers, they read the theory in a book and thats it! He has flown glider planes which helped with incoming flight to the water, bit different weight and size ratio though!
So hats of to him!
