    Dear PW,

There are many other cars I would love to drive if only I had the money, which I do not. The car suits our budget at the moment and fits in with everything we need. We can all dream! What car do you drive PW?

Whatever car it is, the seat will have to go back as far as it will go, the steering wheel as high as it can go so that a) I can get my knees under, and b) I can see the dials. Even then, it's not exactly ideal, but at least I can drive.

The only cars that have come close to giving me a decent driving position are the Audi A6 and the Range Rover. Problem with them is - they're big and heavy.

      Damn my genes!

Mrs B has a Meriva and its the "family" car .Drivers seat can be adjusted down to give you more headroom and plenty of space in the back for bean . Try one you might be suprised just how much room there is.

Wayne, the Renault Modus has a lot to recommend it.

Sensible exterior size, 5* crash rating, loads of headroom, "tryptic" rear seat that tucks in it's sides and slides into the boot space to gave loads of travel space for four with reduced luggage space.
We have the old model with tryptic and the new model has a "Grande", or longer wheelbase version.

Otherwise buy Indian and get a Land Rover Discovery, again loads of headroom.

Before Mrs Beefy had the crash she drove a Citroen Xsara Picasso . Plenty of room in it .Strong to - got hit head on by a Mercedes jeep at 50 mph + and she waked away without a scratch.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

That as may be, I'm still not convinced about its handling. The higher you are, the more body roll you get - it's physics.

HW - dare I say a Picasso? Nearly bought one! Depends how much you're looking to spend, some of the people carriers (higher spec ones) are really nice, test drive one. We had to replace both cars this year with cash so were restricted on the amount we could spend each.

He he he, I admire your determination, but a minibus is never gonna happen. Thanks for the thought though.

I have freind who is a big New Zealand rugby player. He must be about 6 foot 8 as he has to duck when entering a doorway.
He drives a Ford Focus. I drove it for him once and when I got in it, it seemed as if the seat was in the back and I couldn't reach the pedals........he manages ok though!
