would it not take up the salt water,and then release it into the soil when it rains on it,if it were used for raised beds,or is someone planning on building another arc,

If it's anything like the last time (at Worthing), they closed off the beach to stop people claiming the washed up timber for useful stuff. Then they loaded it all up and shredded the lot for burning in power stations. OH was furious - he was going to use some erecting his barn.
ohhh we just saw this on the news. We are for ever in need of fire wood, this stuff would have been perfect. Bit of a long drive to go and get it though. We will have to stick to scavaging pallets.

My grandad told me about the sinking of the Luisantiana and all the bodys were washed ashore on the Queenstown coast. He said they weren't short of boots for years...but because of the salt you couln'd get a shine on them.
