My mouth is watering...... and I'm feeling very homesick. I've lived down south for over 22 years now, more than half my life and I suppose I feel more of a southerner than a northerner...... but am sat here watching Burnley V Spurs and have just noticed that Burnleys kit is sponsered by Hollands Pies..........mmmmmmmmm, i'm drooling at the thought of a Hollands meat and potato pie, chips peas and gravey mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Am up north next month visiting my sis, so I'll be taking a big freezer box to stock up Does anyone else get strange longings that remind them of "home"

hollands pies are THE grossest YUKKKKKKKKKKK ...... not helped by the fact i used to deliver there, and the premises were awful (maybe they improved now it was about 10 years ago lol) ...... but i still don't like the taste.
when i go abroad i always take a box of tea bags ...... can never guarantee you're gonna get a good cuppa, so best being prepared

Being a Sheffielder living in Skegness I miss "proper" fishcakes where a piece of fish is sandwiched between two slices of potato and covered in batter. On visits to see family back there we buy half a dozen or so to take back with us and freeze them and I soon discovered where in Skeg to buy Hendersons Relish which is so much better than the muck named after a certain county.
