The hairdresser up the road from my new job had a sign out offering free haircuts for ladies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays..... I walked past it for 3 weeks thinking it must be con, but today I finally plucked up courage to pop in..... there was no catch, even the shampoo, conditioner and finish was totally free.......... so I ended up having around 16 chopped off........... my hair was down to my bum and I've had it chopped to shoulder length with a few layers put in to give it a bit of body........ and I love it. Even my hubby, who I thought would hate it, says he loves it..... everyone says I look a good 10 years younger, so I'm well chuffed

Well when I walked in, I was thinking I'd just have an inch or two off, then the hairdresser kind of bounded up to me and started holding out my hair asking what I wanted done, and instead of me being dead boring and saying just take of the dead ends, I just said do whatever you want...... and he did!!! Before the girl washed it, he grabbed my hair into a ponytail and chopped off a good 12 inches or maybe more, then once it was washed he then styled it chopping off loads more..... I'm normally a bit shy about my appearance, but I can't stop looking in the mirror and admiring my new shiney locks

Well done you, its a big leap having a lot off at once. I love how my hair feels when its been properly 'done'. And what a bargain!

I did that recently too, i had long hair, not as long as you and i just sat in the chair and said to my hairdresser cut it off, so he did, it looks so much better. Well done you for taking the plunge.

Free hair styling is usually by trainee. If there is a training college anywhere near you, they will almost certainly be LONGING for people to come in for free hairdos!

I did the same 3 years ago, had very long hair, the hairdresser made me sign a letter to say I agreed as she was worried I MIGHT sue lol.....never looked back, felt 3 stone lighter, looked great and felt like a new woman.
