Sorry I can't offer any new breakthrough wonder-remedies - but try the knitting, it's meant to be good for keeping your hands flexible, for keeping your mind active (it's mathematical!) and for general calming. Not to mention you end up with a new jumper (or in the case of knitting dummies like me, a scarf).
Good wishes.Last edited by maytreefrannie; 22-01-2009, 10:50 PM.My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)

I can't sew for long because my hands cramp & carpal tunnel kicks off... But, I could probably do 10 mins at a time, so might be worth starting a small one...
I'm spending today in bed I think, should ease the discomfort I'm getting in my calf from resting on it day in day out. At least in bed I can go on my side and ease the pressure a bit.
OH is going out to do a bit of the gardening job I was supposed to start at the beginning of the month, so I'm on my own for the day.

If you are inclined towards Homeopathy, take Comfrey - the old name for this was "Knit-Bone".
I took it a few years ago when I gave myself a stress-fracture of the wrist (it's what happens when you dig a 16 foot long pond on your own!). Within a couple of days the pain was gone and I've had no problems since. You'll not find this in the high street, I get my Homeo remedies from Ainsworths
