#1 is the first attempt, #2 I re-learned purl, #3 is the 'fanciest' thing I've ever done!

The first one took all day Saturday, more or less, then 2 yesterday. I did another one this morning, which is plain knit pinky wool, and I'm about a third of the way through a white one with a square in the middle

You might actually see 'Offline' next to my name sometimes now

i'm learning to knit with four needles currently - absolute pain in the a*** (arris- aristotle - bottle and glass - a***)
stitches fall off the end.....slowly knitting a glove .
have just ordered a knitting squares book ...to make bed throws and stuff ...looks easier......yours are coming on well...keep up the good work (ps I've been known to unravel an old sweater to re make stuff)

If you're just starting this can be a real pain - so my tip is to pop a blob of blue tack on the end of your needles to stop the stitches coming off and take it off again when you need to knit...hope it helps!

corks hun, save your wine corks, cut them into slices, make a hole in the middle with the needle, and then use them as 'stops' saved my socks loads of times

Well done. We did some fund raising for a local school last year and knitted a load of them fashion scarfs. The wool was 99p in Wilko's, we did scarfs for mum's and the children and they turn out really well. Just done in plain and purl. Go on knock yourself up a celebratory scarf, great for the winter months when up on the lottie.
