£12.66 to date this year, annual subs, and seeds.
Seeds were bought last year cost £8, in the wyvale sale, and shared with neighbours so total cost £2.66 each. Don't buy compost, and we have horse manure delivered regularily, which is on the heap for this year.
New raised planters, built recently from free timber source on a local industrial estate, you just help yourself. New shed in the making constructed from free interior sapele doors and timber left over from planters, roof covering left over from neighbours building works. Greenhouse donated from cousin. Plant pots are used toilet rolls and yoghurt pots, new canes were cut from my cherry trees during last years pruning.
New paths, created out of rubber dpc, collected free, and old slabs also free.
Plans for this year, include sourcing old scaffolding poles for my beans, and surplus alkathene pipe for my mini polytunnels. It will obviously need to be free to collector.
I'm always happy to work hard at keeping everything to a minimum, my objective is really to get to the point where I'm only paying the subs.
2008 £87.00 Spent on seeds, and strimmer as plot was free.
2009 £12.66 spent so far, and not expecting it to go up, unless I persuade myself that the azada I've had my eye on is really worth it.
