  • The Dreaded Day.

Well, today is the day I've been dreading, but it has to be done I've left it too long as it is. My appointment is for 10am, so deep breaths, pluck up courage and try to think of a sensible answer for when I'm asked; 'Are you going away this year?'
    Wish me luck.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Good luck Bluemoon. I am sorry that I seem to have missed what your dreaded day will entail but know that we are all thinking of you. Good luck.

If the question will be "Are you going away this year?", then I am guessing Dentist, or Hairdresser....
Whatever the Dreaded appt is, I hope it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be

It was the hairdresser..... I'd much rather go to the dentist. In fact I'd rather chew my own foot off - without salt. Actually though I've been to the one my daughter uses and it hasn't been too bad. I was told (jokingly I hope) that women my age only change hairdressers when they've had a face lift - something about the scars becoming the topic of salon gossip. It should be pretty obvious to anyone though that I certainly haven't had surgery, the saggy bits and pouches are still very much in evidence. This new girl is rather good though, she listened to what I wanted then actually did it. I'm definitely going to keep going there. The best part is she's a distant relative of my daughter's best friend, which means she can't move to a new salon without me tracking her down. All in all it wasn't the awful experience I'd thought it would be and the hair definitely looks better.
Friday is giving my notice in day. I'll miss the people but I certainly won't miss the job so I don't think that's going to be too bad. Everyone knows about the new job from the day I applied - even the boss - and they've all been encouraging - secretly relieved? - so it's not as if I'm giving them any surprises. It will just be a formality really, nothing too emotional.

My local hairdresser is very quiet, he's normally concentrating on not shaving too much off, or nicking my ears. Only trouble is he always gets hair on my tongue, and trims too much off.

Note to self, stop sticking tongue out, when cutting hair.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I think my build up of paint in my hair should take some time to remove too!!!!!

My hairdresser comes to the house. It's brill as mum comes too and has hers done and thenminds the toddie while I have mine done (nothing fancy just a wet cut but she does my colours too).
I even gave her some seeds last year and inspired her to grow her own, she had allsorts by the end of the season.

It's way cheaper for them to come to the house too
