I love coffee, but caffeine was giving me palpitations, nerves & headaches.
Most decaff is bleurgh, but this one is the business (nobody can tell it's decaff)
It's water-decaffeinated, and rich roast (not fair trade though .. but our instant is)

I go on-and-off herbal tea - if I'm ill I really like Ginger & Lemon/Orange (double strength).
Hot blackcurrant is nice too, as is hot apple juice like this one: http://www.simplyfair.co.uk/acatalog...ncentrate.htmlLast edited by Two_Sheds; 28-01-2009, 12:15 PM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

I don't have caffeine at all if I can avoid it. I find it gves me a permanent headache. I dont drink coffee at all, and only have decaf tea (tastes the same) and redbush tea at home. I Have bene known to take a little pot of my own bags to other people's to avoid their caffeine.
I only drink decaff cola too.
I woldn't like to give up tea as I hope it's not too bas for me anyway with no caffeine in!
Good luck with it all. I have heard the withdrawal headaches can be HELL.

Its funny about caffeine as I have cut my intake to just 2 cups a day, the difference has been brilliant. Especially on a evening, no cups after 6pm. This was mainly due to my MS and bladder problems as it is a Diuretic.
Also my M-I-L had problems with feeling heady and had a brain hemorrhage the doctors advised her to cut out the tea as much as possible as it was washing salts out of her body causing her to have blackouts.
My wife has a headache in the morning until she has a tea, but after her mums problems she is trying to cut down!

Thanks allotment lady I may well take you up on that one day... in the meantime all this talk of tea has made me want to pop the kettle on...
My OH says there is no point drinking coffee if it's decaff.... he likes it to make his hair stand on end! He claims he needs the buzz to concentrate, and only has one a day. I would like it if he didn't have any, but that's cos I'm a control freak who likes to spoil his fun

Good luck Two Sheds, I am trying to be good as well but at the moment I have a very depressed O H, 2 kids to help to understand why dad is like he is, a menagerie to look after, a business to run, a house to run and to cap it all off, the place where i keep my horses, the family got left it, cant get on, are arguing and have decided to split up the land and guess who"s caught in the middle about to lose my stables... Phew sorry guys, do apologise and now i"m going to go and have a very strong cup of coffee (or maybe something else!).........
