Family happenings last year and some of the things that have happened to you guys too have made me realise life is short and there is no sense waiting for the 'right' time to do stuff.
So...I have decided to take the plunge and apply for my nurse training
to start next year (gives me time to get house and life in some sort of order)
Have just come straight from UCAS website where I have started my application. My ward sister has already agreed to be one of my referees, and I have someone in mind for the other. The thought of ward placements and learning the practical hands on part of the job excites me, but the thought of assignments/coursework/exams currently has me kacking myself!! Haven't done anything full time since school 13 years ago. Have worked as a HCA for the last 5 years, so I'm very sure this is the way I want to go and I'm happy I've finally made the decision!
First hurdle is getting the application in and hopefully being accepted.
thanks for letting me witter, really quite excited
