  • My OH wants my seed boxes

My good lady has various hobbies, including card making, beading, painting and others. To keep things in some sort of order I bought her a few of THESE storage boses.

They come in various sizes and can be bought in Tesco and Staples as well as online.

I have 5 of the 9 litre ones for my seeds and after bringing them in the house to have a sort out tonight, The old girl is trying to steal them for her craft stuff, saying my seeds can go in old shoe boxes.

Its war, how can she even think such a thing?

Surely an opportunity for you to purchase some more 'newer and swankier' models for your seeds?

Defo, go really up market and get ones with a lock on for your precious seeds then she can't get in them!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

5 x 9 litre boxes for seeds ! Jings Piglet, you must be the worst seedaholic amongst us Well, unless someone else has more.
You could take a marker pen and write all over them. Kazy won't want them them.
Or you could give her those old plastic boxes with a good grace - and buy some really swish ones for yourself

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

It sounds worse than it is Alice,

1 box is divided into months for sowing
                  1 box is for flowers
1 box is for legumes (I do have lots of heritage beans and even more peas)
1 box has Alliums and brassicas
1 box has roots odds and sods in.

They would all go into three but I like to have easy access to them so i can see what I have.

Mine is a wooden bread bin, 50p from car boot sale, divided with ceral box cardboard into section for garden and section for sprouting seeds. The only problem is, it's a bit heavy!
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
                    Now a little Shrinking Violet.

I keep mine in a biscuit tin, in the fridge, with gaint paper clips for each group - roots etc. But after collecting my own seeds last year, I now also have a Quality Street tin for Crackerjack Marigolds and a Thornton's toffee tin for French Marigolds. All have those little silcon gel packs you get with shoes.

I have two of those boxes, about 9 litre I guess, one for flowers and one for veg. I went to their website and I fancy one of the CD storage boxes to store seeds by month of sowing. They are just the thing !
