I think Charlie is a great organic gardener, his book is worth a read too. Bit of a bargain at £4.

Fell over David Blunkett's guide dog once. 'Sorry' says I 'Didn't see him there.'
'Would you like to borrow him?' was the somewhat sarcastic reply.

        The dog was charming though.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I met with Prince Charles last year and was surprised how vertically challenged he was! I always thought of him as very tall - don't know why, must be a TV thing - I've always been a bit wary of him, since the Di/Camilla thing -but what a nice man - was very down to earth surprisingly and made you feel sooooooo relaxed in his company - changed my perception of him completely!

I have met the Queen and Ronnie Corbet.

Ronnie Corbet lives in a place called New Addington which is where I used to live years and years ago. He is a keen golf player and I met him when we was visiting a golfing shop. I was standing outside the shop waiting for someone (I don't play golf).

I met the Queen when I was 25. When I was serving 5 yrs in the TA, we were on parade during Rememberance Day and the Queen walked past and inspected us.

James Martin... at a dinner he hosted in a local hotel - had a brief chat about veggie gardening.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
