    Hi Blue441

Sorry to hear about your job! I always look at things this way.....

When one door closes another opens!

It's hard and I know it's worrying, Mr C works for one of the 'headline news' banks and doesn't know what is happening, but I've been there myself in the past and I think there is always a way. Sure you will find something whatever happens.

I think the best thing to do is be positive, and take stock, look at all your expenses and cut out anything unnecessary, then look and your spending and see what is the minimum you need to earn to survive status quo. Then look at how you are going to achieve it, are you able to do your current job by being self employed?

I was made redundant back last september so know the feeling all to well, a colleague and I set up together, its a lot easier if there is two of you. We worked ourselves stupid for the first couple of months but we now have a much better work life balance than we ever did being employed before.

Sometimes these things are blessings in disguise, I now understand forrest gumps, 'life is like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you are gonna get'. Life sometimes throws you a curve ball, and you will not be alone over the coming year, being positive and doing whatever it takes though will make all the difference, especially to your sanity.

      Good energy dude, exude it.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Good Luck Blue, I haven't been made redundant as we are self employed but earning no money in this economic climate means that we have had to make a lot of changes and sacrifices. Sounds that like me you are a fighter and so you will come through no matter what.

Good Luck Blue, it really sucks when work is up in the air. I know from recent experience how hard that can be. You will come through this i am sure. Take care of yourself and let us know if we can give moral support.X
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown
