He is a really hansome little fella. So cute. We have a jack russell called Billy he will be three in February. We have also had our ups and downs with him, all started after he was nuetered! He now hates the vet and has to be musseled, hates the car as he believes he is going to the vets. Make sure you socialise him really well, you can get a check list thing like men with beards, people wearing crash helmets, noise, washing machine ,hoover etc.
Another tip that I would suggest is that if he is coming in three weeks, take an old sock and leave it with the mother so it has her scent, bring it home at the same time as the new pup. This will help with separation anxiety. The people we got our pup from let them go too early, ideally they should stay with mum until eight weeks old, we got Billy at six he still has bouts of separation anxiety now .
Good luck with the little fella, he is just so cute.

He is soooo cute!!
I have lots of experience with puppies due to the fact I was the only sucker who was willing to be 'puppy nurse'...lol. I haven't had one of my own for a really long time....but....he won't officially be mine anyway. I bought Quincey for myself 14 years ago, which soon became my Mum's dog....So when he died it was important to her that I picked another dog for me...which she would then make hers!! Sounds wild...but she firmly believes that I pick the right dogs for her. So, I lost my old dog...but she offically gains a new one. Although I'll be kidnapping him at every possible occassion. I can't wait to see how he gets on with his 'brother'....a 7 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, named Buzz.
Ps: I think my Mum is thinking of Jaco (After some famous base player)...as Quincey was named after Quincey Jones, and Rory was after someone else...etc etc.
I'll keep you all posted...and Shirl...your puppy is edible!!Last edited by Bephlam; 31-01-2009, 09:12 PM.I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!
