    can anyone give me some ideas off nice garden related days out i could take a friend to on saturday for birthday treat? i am in lancashire and we both like anything veggie or orchard related?

      I was going to suggest Harrogate. I don't think there is anything else on because of that. There are Veg & Flowesr there

        thanks its an idea and not too far away. she is planning a new orchard at mo and i am extending veggie patch so wanted somewhere to give us ideas on layout etc really.

          After you've been to the show you could go to Harlow Carr Gardens they are just up the road from Harrogate

            How about Tatton Park in Cheshire Annie? I always promise myself a visit when I head home to Lancs to visit family but never seem to get round to it. They recently restored their walled kitchen garden - looked amazing on TV although as I say I've never visited in person. Be interested to know what anyone else thought about it though. And if you MUST pop into Chester for some shopping after, then you must

                      harrogate would be about2hours away so a bit too far, have found a site for leighton hall that looks nice but any unusual ideas appretiated!
