Just started snowing again daughter might get sent home

My car is like an ice qube this morning, it is covered in frost and ice! I can't open the doors or the boot; all 3 are frozen shut! I'm going to have another go in a little while, see it I can get into it ,then perhaps I can get into work. I don't want to go, the roads around here on my estate are fit for a toboggan not a car

Yay!!!Thanks to lots of rain last night...ours is nearly all gone!!Pavements & roads are trecherous though with ice...couldn't believe my neighbour letting her boys ride bikes to school.....& oh the tears it caused from my 2 that their mean mummy wouldn't let them!!

Finally got snow down here in the south west! Woke up to it this morning, first time I've seen it down here in the 3 years I've been here

Yay - we got snow!! Not a lot but enough to make the garden pretty. Younger son has no school - not sure why though as the roads are all clear.

Maybe if the forecast is for more later, the head is being cautious. One time my school was the only secondary in the area open, with a reasonable number of kids and staff making it, but the snow kept coming so he took the decision to close early. The problem was parents couldn't get to the school to collect their children or parents weren't contactable, and staff had to stay until they had all gone. Some staff didn't get home until gone 10pm!

Our Japanese student told me they had never closed her school because of the snow, but there was a typhoon warning on one day. The school opened and everything was fine during school time, but there were after school clubs going on until 6. By that time there were no trains or buses, and most of the staff had left. The ones still there had to take care of 300 children overnight in the school . Now it closes if there are any warnings

It's made it here too, been snowing all night and still coming down. Not as bad as you've had in the UK though... yet

no snow here anymore, rained last night, slippy on roads, kids were annoyed that they were not staying off school - peace and quiet lol

well we have had it for 2 days - just to make you laugh here is me and my garden! I am being a "SNOWMAN SNOW ANGEL" lol enjoy ha ha ha!

There is one of me digging the garden lol! and another of the view from my bedroom window lol!

I was teaching my five year old how to make and throw snowballs (cos they're not allowed to do it at school), I bent down, turned around and got a huge double handful of snow straight in the face, still in her hands IYKWIM, soaked jumper/hat, glasses squashed flat against my face. So I then chased her round the garden for 5 minutes with a load of snow in my hand.

I finally got into my car around 10 am this morning so yes; I was over an hour late for work and waring jeans. S*d the dress code.... I want to be warm just in case I get stranded later Just being sensible that's all.

We have more snow forecast for later in the week. I do hope the weather men are wrong please...!!! wants to run off and pray to Jah/God/Allah and any other gods that will listen!
