Yup I'm with you there - stuck in Haslemere with a little work to do from home. Once that is done, I'm going to plan my seed sowing calendar and dream of sunnier climes/times.

About 6" overnight. Himself decided to work from home - we have a tricky little bend, bridge and dip (all in the same place!) at the village entrance. He thought that even if he got out, he might not get back in! Good call, as we've had a couple more blizzards since his usual departure time. The bus that takes the big kids to the school in the nearby market town hasn't gone this morning either.

actually the sky has that sort of yellowy tinge to the clouds....

Ah Bless up HeyWayne! You will have your treasures home with you soon! Take care all of you, stay warm!

We have had a fair bit of snow. I have crawled into work this morning; only about half of us have made it in so far! Am dreading the drive home tonight!

I think it may be the concern about the midwife not being able to get to LW easily which might mean her staying in longer? Hope not...bet you can't wait to be 3 in a bed!!!!!

Snowing very heavy here now, couple of millimetres earlier on but now 15mm or more an even settling on gritted roads.

We have a good five inches. I did try to get to work - walked to station at 7.15 but all trains cancelled. I came home and got the camera and me and dh took a walk takiing pics and stopping for hot chocolate in the cafe. Itss started again now and there's set to be more. Boss said not to worry and try again tomorrow... I'm not sure that's gonna be possible. I will post some pics if I find out how.

Bit like me I have next to no food in the house for me either The cats had a few tins of food so I went local shops this morning got them another couple of days worth of food! Hope I can get out to the big shops later in the week! I cleared a good 6 inches snow off my car first thing, roads on my estate have never seen a gritter in their life!

Anyone who has to drive, make sure you have some weight over the wheels - load the boot with anything heavy you have. It might use more fuel but you'll get better grip - we used to manage to get a transit van up a 1-in-5 hill out of Lothersdale in the snow, as long as there was a pallet of tiles over the back axle

Only a couple of inches here, but the roads are like pure ice round our village, we don't get gritted here at all, my OH struggled out of the village and reported a landrover on its roof in the ditch! Almost everyone is driving like complete idiots.

I'm jealous about you lot with a foot of snow, thanks for the photos!

Cripes - it's still coming down. I've been t'garden and footsteps are covered already.

I need to post a parcel of seeds and the OH's passport renewal, so I'm gonna have to go out. Builders have called off, so no reason to stay indoors.
