Not here...here its 11 degrees....but my children who live in south east London (Lewisham and Greenwich) cant get to work!!!! Granddaughter's school is closed!!!1
Loads here near Ongar, Essex. Roads are rubbish and we live near a ford which will be really dangerous with the ice. School closed so daughter has gone off with friends to see in anyone is stuck in the ford...
Hubby also home, so we snowballed him earlier!
we had 2 or 3inch,but the sun is shinning at the minuit, and roads are mushy, the school at top of our road is open,i was in the room on the vine and a thud hit the window, when i looked 4 little 666 in our front, they had threw a snowball at the window,i opened it it up asked what you think you doing, they just laught and chucked another, you might think it funny, but,we have a gravel drive, and already got 1 peice of glass to renue thanks to an incident last year,i phoned the school to have word with them all as to the, why not to throw at peoples property.
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these
Like everyone else in Essex we have loads in Hornchurch. Daughter in Braintree Essex has it very deep and kids were out there at 6.30 this a.m. They must be mad (or young!!) Had to go and knock the snow off the netted area as the weight was bending the poles. In the end, I have taken the netting down so hope the pigeons don't get my brassicas. Should have got big mesh before the snow but as usual I put it off and now it's too late. Not going shopping in this!!. Hope Lord, Lady and baby Wayne managed to get home though.
Snow here, and been advised from work to 'work from home' as more snow predicted - well I ain't gonna argue! Dogs lurve it - like kangaroos boinging up and down the park!
'May your cattle never wander and your crops never fail'
how much fun is this!? i've just built snowman with my wife.
zazen - according to the web MAIDEN TREES These are young trees suitable for growing into bush, half standard, fan-trained, cordon, pyramid, espalier, spindlebush or other trained forms.
I've dug the snow out now and taken them off the ground so hopefully they won't freeze completely.
Loads of snow inStevenage as well.Snowed in,no work.OH tried to get to Barnet but turned round, did'nt make it out of town! Supposed to be doing some work stuff but have fed the birds and going out for a walk in it before it gets too bad again!!
was just letting the cats out the front when i spotted a car driving about 5 mph up the hill, wheels spinning no grip at all ....... when a car came the other way round the corner downhill, also at 5 mph .... they both applied brakes, then continued along their way in slow motion till they came to a standstill from running into each other
see now thats a much safer crash than normal, no car dents no injuries just 2 cars stuck together in the middle of the road
you can tell how bad the road is, cos the bin lorry hasn't been
We drove to London today for work only to find the site shut due to "safety issues" (we are working inside) so had to return home.
The M11 was practically empty of cars at 9am bar the ones that had rear ended each other cos the muppet drivers hadnt heeded the conditions still drove 3 feet away from the car in front.
It is almost funny though when you see cars do the 5mph cant stop shuffle.
