Please if you use these self serve checkouts and you put notes in make sure you pick up the change including any notes that are dispensed usually about knee level. I went into Asda and someone had left a £10 note which I handed in to an assistant, I could have put it in my purse no one would have known. Then a young mum with a pushchair came looking for her change I was so glad it was me that found it.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

That was very good of you Jackie, it pays to do the right thing in the belief that others would do the same for you. It's easy to get distracted using those self-checkout things, I only use them if there are big queues at the other checkouts & usually forget something but most times it's only the receipt so it doesn't matter.Into every life a little rain must fall.

As I work with the darn things I knew there was a problem when I went to use the checkout. Lots of people leave money behind cos they dont check their change something we should all do. I hate the things mainly cos they take away jobs, in my case four checkouts one job ( soon to be increased )Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
and ends with backache

Well one Jackie! Lots of folks get flustered at the self service, I waited in the car while HB ran in to get something she was taking ages was heading in to see what had kept her and she appears, she'd been helping an elderly woman with the self service the assistant was busy sorting a problem with on of the other tills.
I use them a lot as often nipping in to get bits for the folks I visit on my rounds, overheard one of the managers asking the assistant to keep an eye out, they had caught someone trying to put a tv through self service but they had somehow covered one bar code with another so paying less than £50 for a £400 telly!!!

How on earth did that happen obviously the operator wasnt watching properly which is very easy to do, if you are busy with a customer you cant be doing for another but are expected to. The only way you could get away with it is not to scan and not to put it in the bagging area as it is weight sensitive.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
and ends with backache

Think it happened just after new store opened, the tills were playing up constantly either that or before 9am I often pop in after dropping HB at school and there is often no one watching the self service, point is though the didn't get away with it caught red handed, manager was just letting other staff know to be aware!

The toddlie got hold of my bag and threw my purse on the floor, I thought I was being stalked round tesco but it was a nice man returning it.
I got both the toddlies shoes back too many a time and his bear! he does like to throw stuff when I am engorssed in shopping labels lol
There are still some kind people in the world.
I bet that young mum had a million other things on her mind!

Mind you I do use this computer even though it often does its own thing - now if I had a nice friendly permanent assistant to work it for me ------

Self Service Checkouts annoy me. They could make things so much easier and quicker, but of course, they actually make things really slow. I DON'T ALWAYS WONT TO PUT THE ITEM INTO A BAG. SOMETIMES I WANT TO PUT IT IN MY OWN BAG OR IN MY POCKET. Ahhhhhhhhhh

Scan your item, then put it in your own bag, THEN put it on the weighing scale.
