      Deinite plus point of cable ie it isn't affected by the weather although you do occaisionally get workmen going throught the main cable when digging something up!

      Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

      Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

        We have no TV 24/7, as three years ago we realised we hardly ever watched it, so took the plunge and haven't looked back. Not many of us about I don't think - I only know one other family who hasn't got one. No need for us to worry about signals, snow or no snow

        Folk do tend to think that because we have no telly that we must have family sing songs around the piano every night and be very worthy, but alas, 'tis not so - a) no piano, b) can't hold a tune and c) my children are as fond of computer games as the next! However, we do have lots of time to read, and get up to all sorts of fun things

        You never know Smallblueplanet, you might just get used to it like we did and discover that actually you like it!
        Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.

          Obviously works for you all Pipscariad but you are indeed a rare breed.
          I didnt immediately envisage wholesome family sing songs etc, but obviously there isnt a sports nut in the house.
          I couldnt do without my TV for the sport I get to watch. I hardly watch anything else, news and the occasional documentary, but would (and do now I'm on my own) watch sport 24hrs a day.

            Don't think so. If I've no tv and can't get a broadband feed of the game (football, rugby, cricket, etc) I'll be round Bob's watching it there!

              The besterest news of all is that since I have returned to my African paradise, we do actually have TV installed here. And I too shall be watching the first test, but clearly not just for the weather, I have my own.

              Should broadband fail SBP, pop across, the key is still under the mat.

                The signal on my TV goes when a lorry goes past the house. That's with a Freeview box. I'm not sure if the same would happen with Sky or not! I'm too tight with my money to find out!
