What Next?

If crap comes in threes I'm still due something else bad by the end of today. Yesterday whilst youngest was on his way to uni. someone drove into the back of his car. Fortunately no one was hurt. His car is now in Lincoln awaiting repair.

This morning, when we have more snow on the floor than I've seen in years, the central heating boiler curls up it's toes. Luckily we have a good big open fire and an emersion heater so we are coping OK with that.

Just a little aprehensive about what's next .

Know how you feel, it does feel like that doesn't it. Sometimes i feel like making something happen like dropping a cup or something to break the threesome.
At least you are all safe and warm and that is the main thing.

I was always told to break a match in half to prevent anything more happening. Hope it works. Good job no-one was hurt yesterday.

At least I'm not alone in woe.
Got into car at 05:50 this morning - flat battery, too iced up to clear without heater assistance to make bump start possible so had to walk to work. Fortunately only about a mile. At 07:20 slipped on unnoticed ice landing 123 on rear, hand and back of head, awoke to a private lightshow and the feeling of ice melting into my clothes. Got out of casualty @ about 10:30 with left arm in plaster (actually bright red fibreglass - isnt modern medicine wonderful?) and instructions on what to do if I start behaving strangely or get confused, herself says neither would be noticeable.On getting home I found the central locking had now malfunctioned and I was unable to disable the car alarm. Nice RAC man disabled alarm and confirmed demise of battery. Then had to persuade a somewhat irrational herself to drive now running car to garage to purchase battery, the garage mechanics comment that he had better tighten up the battery retaining bolt (which stops the battery falling out if the car overturns and appears to have no other function) since she was driving? did nothing to improve now strained relations. Now the hospital painkillers have worn off but Ive just noticed that the Gojiberry seedlings need potting and fuchsias have 3 seed leaves! P'raps lifes not so bad really.....
