on 24th sepember last year we took delivery of a new bed,it was two of those adjustables, linked together for a superking, said bed was set up,no linking bars,we had to do the sorting out,in the mean time,we descovered the mattresses to be foulty, upon request,a rep from the manufacturers came out and said ,they need replacing,so as they were not very comfey we were allowed to change them for another type, the second lot of mattresses then arrived, and the linking bars were then fitted,to cut the story short,we ended up with 4 changes of mattresses due to,dirt, the springs at the corners still not right, the pipping on the edges poorly stiched, the pocket springs were sagging, and yes, even had blood on 1,then descovered that the base was not in good order as well, another independant chappy came along for a look, and said yes there is a manufacturing fault,D****S read the report to us over the phone,it did confirm that, but also says that the customer may never be satisfied,,i was shocked to say the least,we said enough is enough,we would like our money back please,oh yes,but that company retain 20%,so i replied,ah ah,not according to trading standards, and watch dog, ooohh, she goes away and comes back with and offer,we can have either £300 of another adjustermatic or our money back,in full,so i confirmed the figure with them, and said collect the bed please, today the money is now sitting back in our account,i am so pleased, and proud of myself for sticking to my guns.the company was not the problem, they were polite and helpfull, most of the time, especially when watch dog was said, the problems lay with the manufacturers in aldridge brum, and every trip was from the debot in brum, must have cost a fortune, and no sale at the end of it.
