  • Enchiladas tonight I think. The filling is ready, and I'll make my own tortillas later. Bit of sour cream and Monterey Jack over the top - yummy.
    I don't roll on Shabbos

    • Duck cooked with a cointreau and marmalade glaze served with JA, potato and red onion gratin (the recipe is on Wellie's blog, and I think that she's posted it on the vine too) with french beans from the freezer. All veg homegrown. but I am running very short of onions.

      • Hoemgrown leeks and parsnips and frozen french beans with the roast pork. Followed by strawberry ice cream made with strawberry puree I made last summer.

What we won't be eating is the parsnip cake I made today. It was vile.

And your hands begin to harden.

Same here, great the digging burns the calories, if only the hunger afterwards didn't put them all back on again!!!!

                            • Beef in beer tonight, served with roast spuds, carrots and onions and steamed carrots, broccoli and cabbage. Oh, and yorkshire puds that I forgot about last night

Odd combination but I am trying to clear out the freezers ready for all the veggies that are going to grow this year!

Just heated up the beef in beer to discover (now that the rest is on the table) that it is actually turkey stir-fry Even odder combination than first expected! LOL
