Double snap then, our stew was accompanied by a very nice sparkling Shiraz - it's like grown up ribena made with lemonade!

This will be accompanied by a very fine Shiraz (snap Glutton!), which is causing much sniggering as it is called Willy Willy Shiraz (no, really!) - but it's really very good. No comments please

Expect that after that we'll be too full for pud, so a couple of pieces of Green & Blacks choc may be order of the day... life's hard
We were amused to find a 'make' of beaujolais nouveau called "pisse-dru".....

Well, tonight it will be roast turkey drumsticks (from a local breeder - apparently they are from the hen turkeys and are smaller and more tasty) with roast King Edwards, roast carrots and onions, steamed cabbage, carrots, broccoli and asparagus (not local but on special offer so I couldn't resist). Off to prepare a steamed syrup suet sponge for pudding now.

Sunday is always a bit relaxed food-wise; pancakes for brekkie, with maple syrup and lemon juice; something very light for lunch, unless the pancakes go on so long that they become lunch as well.

Sunday evening meal tends to be cheese on toast! Homemade bread, strong cheddar, and grilled vine tomatoes. We traditionally have this when back form hols/visiting etc. and it sort of morphed into a regular thing. With glass of red, naturally (v small one for me!).

Roast pork here as well with roasted Kerr Pink spuds, plenty of mived veg and gravey accompanied by a bottle of Wolf Blass merlot.
Cheese, grapes and crackers to follow.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                              I know I really shouldn't ask...

We're having colcannon, bacon and traditional Lincolnshire sausages. Plus a glass or several of something nice for me
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery

PW et al who enjoy a Merlot, I urge you to try a bottle called Costieres de Nimes, along the same lines but much much yummier, and terribly north African.
I have rarely seen it on sale in the UK, normally an Odd Bins stocks them, but should you see one, its well worth it.
Still goat and camel for me by the way.
