Hold on to your hats Laydeeez and gentlemen. I have just been reliably informed by the man laughably called the chef, that tonight, I will be having steak.
Camel steak, but steak nonetheless. Which isnt stew. Which will be the first time in 2 weeks that I havent eaten stew for my evening meal.
I now have the dilemma of how to have my camel steak. Normally I eat my steak rare or blue/rare, but not sure I dare risk it with camel.
If I post no more, you will know why.Bob Leponge

We will be eating a 'sort of cassoulet'. Beans (haricot, AND flageolet), ham (a knuckle end) chorizo (left over from the recent paella) veggies as available, all sitting in the slow cooker ready for this evening. I've got some cold roast chicken (not much) and will add that later. To be eaten with crusty bread (home made if we can't be bothered shopping).
Some evenings we have 'Waitrose and see' (Wait-and-see, according to what is going cheap when we do the shopping), but I try to only take that option on the days we would shop anyway.Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I'm making a curry. If the rain stops I shall collect a slack handful of chard to add to it - I love it like this - if it doesn't stop I shall sow some rice!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Tonight I will be cooking curry Goat, with coconut rice & black-eyed peas.
The meat has been seasoned in a mix of West-Indian spices, curry powder, and loads of fresh thyme. Also added is some hot fresh chilli, sliced onion, carrots, garlic, ginger and tomatoes. It has all been sitting in the fridge since Sunday evening so its all nice and spicy now!
I will add some potato to the meat later and cook it nice and slow, for a couple of hours till its nice and tender & the meat is falling off the bone! It will be a late diner tonight but worth the wait.Last edited by Irie Jan; 10-02-2009, 12:14 PM.Live like you never lived before!

Bangers & Mash here tonight, just found a pack of 24 chipolatas in the freezer left from Xmas, and so tomorrow night it will be......sausage casserole!

Sausage goulash-y thing again tonight as loads left from last night. Not much cooking time as baby girl at hospital this morning for hip x ray and consultant appt, and HIP woman this afternoon to do energy assessment on house as it went on the market yesterday. How odd - a hip-related day!I don't roll on Shabbos
