We bought one once, again to eat on a baguette, but when we opened the bag it smelled of dog farts. The cats had a treat that night.

Egg and chips for lunch today, I managed to dig a few up (3 rows still in the ground) today and we do have a lot of my sisters eggs to eat.

I'm about to have a fishfinger sandwich to tide me over till later when we're having salmon with potatoes. Brrrrrrrrr.... time to put the heating on too, its getting a bit chilly now we've stopped going from upstairs and downstairs, sorting pictures and prints to display. Its taken hours and we've only hung four (we "only" moved here over two YEARS ago). We actually found some wrapped Glen Baxters wrapped in newspaper dated 1999 - that's from the house before the house before this one!

We are going to Dexters Grandma's for tea. Don't know what we are having, but Dexter will be in his element - he loves his Grandma.
Note: "Grandma" said in whisper as if he hears me mention her name he'll be running round and barking and going mad, and wanting to go NOW. He'll have to wait for OH to get home from work.

Hope everyone has a lovely tea/supper tonight.

PS We had a super brisket of beef, yorkies and ALL the trimmings - delish!

We've just finished a beautiful bowl of stew with home grown roots and local beef, with dumpling of course! Stewing all afternoon while the rugby was on - gorgeous.

Just about to make herby dumplings to drop into the pan of veggie cawl which is simmering atop the stove - I'm seeing a stew and dumplings type theme on here, could it be cold weather by any chance?!

This will be accompanied by a very fine Shiraz (snap Glutton!), which is causing much sniggering as it is called Willy Willy Shiraz (no, really!) - but it's really very good. No comments please

Expect that after that we'll be too full for pud, so a couple of pieces of Green & Blacks choc may be order of the day... life's hard
