  • ever need a fix?

Ever need a fix? I mean an allotment fix, i have to go there everyday, even just for a mooch about, sitting in shed with kettle on, listening to birdsong....chatting to the other madduns in the wintry conditions......

I miss it if i dont go up there......never used to feel like that. Just my peace haven, my own special place where I change the world, ....

Needing a fix but its too dark!

I've not been able to get to the lottie for a few weeks now (weather, the new house etc), and I really worry about whats happening up there without me. My only consolation is that very soon it will be time to start sewing seeds at home, but nothing compares to opening the gate to the plot and taking a deep breath of fresh air. They should bottle it - I'm sure it's better than vallium!

I tend only to go in the better weather but now I sahll go tomorrow whatever the weather and sit in my shed if its wet and make a cuppa while listening to my radio Judi Spiers usually she makes me laugh. Bet I end up doing something though.

Visit the lottie every day, even if it's only to fill up the bird feeders and put out some meal worms, when I'm walking the hounds. Fantastic yesterday when the whole site was covered in snow and mine were the only footprints on it.

I guess that's where poor old Andi lucked out!

We have to go up 3 times a day to see the chooks & I'm really pleased we do....it's my little escape from living in a town.(was brought up out in the sticks & other than when I'm at the lottie still really miss it,but practicalities dictate we stay townies....at least for the time being)

love going to my lottie to,went the other day,so peacefull, the only foot prints apart from ours were ,looked like a fox,the prints were only up and down the path, not on the ground,so that says something,i take it,it was a fox,we have badgers down there, but i would have thought that the paw prints would have been a lot bigger,as they were only, dog size,

I love to sit in our shed (or greenhouse if it's not too hot) and look over the veg beds in the garden.

I take some sandwiches and a drink with me, even though it's only 80' from the house.
