    This is how I shall be managing the two new additions to my house - they now have an ISA all of their own

    I never had Charlie insured, we were just so lucky that he never got into any stand-offs with cars/squirrels etc and never needed any major expensive treatments - until the last bit but dosh/insurance wouldn't have helped him

      I hope you can get it sorted. If they won't it might be worth changing companies. If that company aren't going to pay any more for that condition, your no worse off moving to a company that excludes it but offers better cover for other conditions.

      It's definately worth shopping around and reading the small print. There are different types of insurance. You get ones that payout up to a certain amount per condition (irrespective of time), ones that payout a certain amount but only for the first 12 months and ones that pay up to a certain amount per year for life. The later are more expensive but you don't have to worry about it running out.
