We need Corax Aurata on this thread (she's my daughter) twice she has lost handbag and had it turn up. First time it was nicked when she was staying on a campsite, found in hedge nearby with only the cash missing. Second time I got a call from police, bag had been handed in, and her phone was in it. They found the number labelled 'Mum' and called me to find out who to contact..........

Oh yes, that reminds me. Once we drove off after a job, and a bit later returned down the same road. "That camera in the road looks just like the one you use for work"..... It had wheel marks on, but it worked for another week before he had to buy a replacement.....

No news yet. None of the mums at the party have seen it. The school (the party was held next to a school field) has been contacted to see of it's been handed in.

No local police ih the town I lost it, the nearest one is about 6 miles. They engaged all morning.

It had my diary in it with address, phone with all the numbers, and contact details in the purse. Somone whould surely have realised who I was by now!

I always keep my keys in my coat pocket to stop them from scratching my phone. Had they been in my handbag where I am sure sensible people put them I would have been unable to drive off in the first place. So no missing keys.

We have driven the route back, but it was half dark by then. I will do it again later. It could well be in a ditch. 20 miles of ditch to scour!

Thanks for all your nice words. I know we all do silly things. I still feel stooopid though.

At least you didn't put your Baby on the boot of the car then get in and drive off, like someone a friend of mine used to know

No, but I did leave him in the playground once and almost went to tescos before I remembered.

I used to be efficient and had a responsible job, running 2 departments at school - no-one would ever believe it! My brain is MUSH lately.

Everything crossed that you retrieve your bag, Janeyo. Hugs for you regardless. ((())).
