A landowner actually has to take responsibility for the run off of water from their land. If it creates a hazard on the highway, he is LEGALLY obliged to remove that hazard or prevent it.

Your best bet, given his delightful reponse, is to contact Highways with a complaint about the water accumulating outside your drive and point out the reason for it. They come down quite heavily on landowners in this area, so fingers crossed you'll get some action (of a Highways nature, ha ha!).

get the biggest pan you have make up custard powder as normal without sugar, cos that's a waste unless you're gonna eat it , and add red food colouring to the required colour ........ is also fun in paddling pools when cooled down

Come into this thread a bit late but I do understand that you must find all the car stuff annoying! How unpleasant of him to react as he did. Why do people have to be rude? Not very nice for you - hope you get him sorted out!

                  Hi,
I know what you mean, i spent the best part of last week up the hospital with my hubby after he slipped on ice. Someone let water run down the drive and it froze on th pavement.
Hence 1 broken ankle which needed an operation to ave a metal plate in it. We are not amused!
