          Update

My friend has looked at it and says its not broken just a severe sprain or torn ligament. She suggested ibuprofen which I cannot take as we are trying so am dosed up on paracetamol instead. It was a much better colour and she said the blood flow had probaly been a bit compromised but was fine by the time she got her hands on me! Its still a bit swollen today and hurst like hell but at least I can move around the house. I darent go outside as its still so icy out there.

I have just been told off by my sister for being all upset this am as I feel so bl@@dy useless - cant arrange anyone to pick Hannah up from school, have run out of milk - was meant to do shopping today and now cant, cant tidy up even (well I could but I wouldnt be able to get up again!) LOL!!! I hate depending on anyone - I would much prefer to be helping other people.

What I want to know is; how on earth has Sarzwix managed all these weeks (or is it months now) - hats off to you girl - you deserve a medal - I am fed up and its only been 24 hours AND I can still hobble - just!

Oh Tammy, I wish I was nearer so I could get yo the bits and bobs you need. van yo do an online quick delivery of essentials? Expensive but maybe worth it just this once?

Glad it's not broken, I still think you need to see a doctor though. Promise you will if it doesn't get any better in a few days?

I am sure your sister has had times when she got down too, I would be down if it happened to me and have been so grumpy since I lost my bag too. It will pass but you are allowed to be down if in pain.

I think I would take the ibuprofen anyway, ewven if you are tryng. I fell with my son, had no idea and then had general anaesthetic and had tonsils out. Took all manner of (prescribed) concoction of drugs to ease the pain after, wanted to chop my own head off really, then stopped taking everything when found out was pregnant. And he was fine.

            Thinking of you xx

              Hannah's pick up arranged

Hubby getting milk and anything else I think of on the way home

I will go Doctors Friday if it is no better

I wont chance the ibuprofen - not after all the miscarriages I have had - I would prefer to be in pain. Also, not told you guys, but if I havent fallen this month then that may be it because hubby has had his pay cut and he hasnt yet given me an answer as to wether we can afford to carry on trying or not

Oh Tammy, hope you're ok. A severe sprain/torn ligament can be worse than a fracture if not dealt with properly, so please do get it checked out TODAY. An ultrasound scan on the ligament will show if there is a tear, in which case, very careful rehab is needed, due to the way the fibres knit together. Ligaments form horizontal fibres as an 'emergency' fix, but then slowly form vertical ones. The result is that many people overdo it as they feel fine, but tear it again as the horizontal fibres don't have elasticity. Vertical fibres take months to form. Take care! At the very least you need a firm support bandage on there.

Wish I could offer advice on the baby issue, but can't, so will offer a hug instead. ((())).xx

Ouch Tammy - rest easy gal, do not overdo it and just keep it strapped and up. When I was a kid I'd get sprained ankles and wrists all the time, no fun

Agreeing with Nicos and others that it would be good to get it checked out - if it turns out nothing's broken, all the better.

                          Good wishes.

Take it easy Tammy, don't worry, your family will manage to cope without you running round after them.

Hi Finedon Dandy, was so sorry to read about your mishap, you poor thing (((((hugs))))). Hope you are managing to bear it - I know what you mean about the Ibruprofen, if I was in your sitaution I'd do the same. Don't worry too much about having to rely on others, in general folk like to know that they are able to help - we would if we were closer! Take great care of yourself and chin up .
