How many people are you cooking for ? For the normal household less than a minute would rinse the potatoes in the sink . Too much trouble ?

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Just going to say that. I wash spuds in a bowl then throw the water (and soil remnants) on my garden. I'd hate them to bung up the drains.

I sometimes wash the tines for my Mantis Tiller in the dishwasher. Have to try and make sure mrs snuffer doesn't catch me though. I wrote about her doing just that on here once. Boy was I in trouble.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

only me, there was a bucketfull i dug up the other day ....... they've been sat in the bucket since lol ....... i'm not THAT lazy, that's what peelers are for so you don't need to wash em, but i didn't wanna shove em in the fridge full of soil, cos then i get annoyed cos they are dirty and don't get round to eating em ........ and some of em are too small to peel,ok, I am THAT lazy lol

anyway they taste yummy, the dishwashers busy washing pots, and all is well in Lynda land

And I thought I was mad when I microwave compost to try and sterilize it and kill the weed seeds

i'm really bad cos i just chucked compost in last years without washing em, but i spose if you wanna wash em, it will save getting your hands wet

LOL Linda you are truly unique - of course my dishwasher not only washes the spud but peels them too..................................... - he is of the non-mechanical two legged variety
