Were off working in Quatar come the summer. We have already been warned its goat and dates that make up most meals. I feel some herbs, spices and a big bottle of worcestershire sauce going in the luggage.

As for a real hot date, well that would be.............................................. Seahorse

PW there is one REAL bad downside to working in Qatar. I wont tell you what it is, but you will see once you get there and turn your computer on.
Goat and date is about right, thats pretty much what I ate there for about 3 months. Buerk.
Ex ginger beer as you are, you will know, its hot there in the summer!! Crikey its hot.
As for the hot date, if those legs really are hers, I would have to agree.

I've just seen fresh figs and fresh dates in Leclerc ( bit like Sainsbury's)

          1kg figs = E17.95
1kg dates = E5.95 ...what sort of price are they out there Bob?

Er free. I just pick them off the tree outside the compound walls, providing I can dodge the crocs.
18 Euro for a kilo of figs? Crikey, I'd be shopping in Le Mutant (dont know if you have one near you)

I buy fresh dates when they've got them in the supermarket (Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco). They're delovelylishious, have a "crunch" rather than a squidge
