I am not a personal fan of tattoos, thinking that people have them to make the look different to everyone else, then you see loads of people with the same sort of thing, so it kind of defeats the object for me. A bit like facial piercings.

I would also be bored with mine after a week and then regret it.

I had a henna one once on my ankle and rected badly to another chemical in it and got a bad allergic reaction so won't be doing that again. All the kids at school where I was teaching thought I was very cool til it vanished, just goes to show how their minds work lol.

I am so different from my brother who has loads. 2 on each shoulder, nasty animal things like tigers and snakes and eagles, a bird on his hip which his ex wifes name and had to be altered to something else when he remarried, and one on his BUM of a devil (done when he was underage too). I can just imagine the nurses in the old people's home having a right old chuckle about that when he's 90 and wrinky all over! Mind you his wife is covered with them too. I don't think they look classy at all.

    Sorry just my opinion.

I have two. When my son was 18 he wanted a tattoo so I decided to go along with him and have on as well. He's gone on to be a huge tattoo fan and has loads. Mind you he only has them where they can't be seen when he's got his business suit on.

I stopped at two, one on my front which is a Chinese symbol for the word Faith - at least I hope that's what its says. The other on the right shoulder - this one is a dove carrying a ribbon that forms the shape of a heart. I had mine tattooed in blue rather than the harsher black.

My son and a few friends recently all had an anchor design tattooed on the top of one foot - it's to keep them grounded :-) I thought that was brilliant

I've always fancied a small, classy tattoo but I guess thats an oxymoron! Lucky I'm phobic about needles...

What made me get a tattoo - a burning sense of rebellion, a bike festival and a pint of 'dark star'. Thankfully it was only the one pint so it is relatively small, classic and easy to cover up (left shoulder).

I don't regret - It was part of what made me, no matter how stupid, and it didn't half rile my parents!

Always wanted a Panther or a Tiger on my shoulder but never saw a design that I really really liked .
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

I thought for years about getting a tattoo but the chap I was with for 4 years in my early 20s really didn't like them so I didn't get one. Then about a year after we split up I was in Atlanta visiting a friend and went into a lovely, clean bright tattoo parlour and had a small (maybe 3cm high) funky black cat on my lower back. I love it because nobody need ever see it if I don't want them to. I'm glad I did it when I did because I met my OH when I was 28 and he really dislikes tattoos, so I did it at the right time for me. I love it and I love people's reactions when they see it because I don't think (?) I look like the kind of woman who would have a tat.

My OH has got a panther on his shoulder, didn't like it when he first got it, but its grown on me, quite like it now.

Like some one else did on here got mine done due to my oldest wanting one at 18, I was 40 and thought I should see what it was all about. I designed my own a cartouche of my name, so my OH will recognise me when i am dead.
It is in colour and when on holiday it is always remarked on as people think it is great.

My oldest is in the RAF and now has several as does his younger brother but I will have to say they both designed their own so are very personal and they both have each others names as they are very close!

I've got a small swallow tattooed onto my shoulder blade. Got it when I was 18, and 'rebelling'... don't regret it at all! I never see it (obviously) and often forget about it.

I'm in the market for another one actually. Have semi-decided on a design (phoenix type of bird) and have found a tattooist (very important part!) but haven't fixed a design and have to save up the money as well.

My first was a sunflower on the back of my left shoulder....took the chap 3x longer than normal to do as I kept wimping out & needing him to stop.So imagine his surprise when I'm back a couple of weeks later wanting a little flower on my ankle!Once that had healed it didn't quite look right..."out on a limb" to pardon the pun!!!...so I had it made into a little chain going all the way round my ankle.
Then I got a little fairy on my right arm....which again looked a little lost on it's own....so I had a flower ring around my arm underneath her.I've also got a little dragonfly flying above her(was apt at the time...& still is).
My tummy was probably the most painful & largest of them all....I've got a flower arch, which ties in with the others & standing inside is The Crab Apple Fairy.....at the time I had several issues & The Crab Apple Fairy & flower remedy continually kept cropping up in my quest for wellness,so it was probably the most meaningful at the time).
Also I've got The Pansy Flower Fairy on my other ankle & a little mischieveous fairy almost on my bum....wasn't quite brave enough to get it out in public so it's more on my hip!!
I still love them all as much now as I did when I had them done(about 12 years ago)....and if money weren't an issue(& space!) would love to have something relevant to Daisy & Ash!
So in answer to your question.....Yes!
the fates lead him who will;him who won't they drag.
